Welcome to PondQuant. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PondQuant platform at pondquant.com (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Pond Hill Capital LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
PondQuant is a software platform for individual investors. It provides portfolio tracking, quantitative signals, market data visualizations, and analytics tools to help you manage and analyze your own investment book.
PondQuant is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner. We do not execute trades, custody assets, or provide personalized investment advice. Everything shown on the platform is informational and educational only.
Any signals, scores, screens, or analytics you see are produced by automated quantitative rules. They are not recommendations to buy or sell any security. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions.
To use the Service, you must create an account with a username and password. You agree to:
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
PondQuant is offered as a monthly subscription. The current standard plan is $8.99 per month, billed automatically each month through Stripe, our payment processor. We do not see or store your full payment-card details — that information is handled directly by Stripe.
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
The Service displays market data, news, and other information from third-party sources, including Twelve Data, Yahoo Finance, SEC EDGAR, NASA EONET, USGS, and ADSB.fi.
This data is provided "as is" without warranty. We do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability. Third-party data may be delayed, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable. Do not rely on this data as the sole basis for any financial decision.
The PondQuant name, logo, software, design, content, and underlying technology are owned by Pond Hill Capital LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal investment management while your subscription is active.
You retain ownership of the data you upload (such as your portfolio holdings). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Investing involves risk, including the loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pond Hill Capital LLC and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost trading gains, lost data, or any damages arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold Pond Hill Capital LLC harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription and closing your account. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
We take a minimalist approach to data: we collect what we need to run the platform, nothing more. No advertising trackers, no third-party syndication of your data, no sales of personal information.
| Category | What & Why |
|---|---|
| Account | Username and a hashed (one-way encrypted) password. We never store your raw password. |
| Subscription | Subscription status and a Stripe customer reference. Card details are held by Stripe — never by us. |
| Portfolio data | Holdings you add or upload — tickers, shares, cost basis, dates. Stays in your account. |
| Activity | Login timestamps, session cookie, and basic server logs (IP, user agent) for security and debugging. |
We do not collect real names, mailing addresses, phone numbers, social-security numbers, brokerage credentials, or bank-account details.
Information we collect is used only to operate the Service (sign you in, save your portfolio, fetch quotes), process your subscription, diagnose technical problems, and communicate with you about your account.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. No advertising, no profiling, no purposes unrelated to running PondQuant.
We use one session cookie to keep you signed in (HTTP-only, HTTPS-only). If you check "Stay signed in for 30 days," it persists for that period. No third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
All traffic is encrypted in transit via TLS. Passwords are hashed using a modern one-way algorithm — even we cannot recover your password if you forget it.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. If you cancel or delete your account, we remove your data within a reasonable period (except where retention is required for tax, fraud-prevention, or legal compliance).
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA. To exercise any of these, contact us through the platform.
PondQuant is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. The Service is operated from the United States; by using it, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the U.S.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
PondQuant is operated by Pond Hill Capital LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. A dedicated contact channel for legal and privacy questions will be added soon. Until then, please reach out via the platform.
